Brian Villa: Is the Barca Striker Passing up on Superstardom at Another Team?

Most likely. Brian Villa has established himself one of the world's besta'and most consistenta'goalscorers of the newest century. With four different clubs, he counted at least twenty goals in ten consecutive times through 2012, a task that few in European soccer could lay claim to. In this time, let's not forget, he led Spain's front line to two consecutive international awards, rising to the top of their goalscoring charts along the way. Amidst the spectacular rise and fall of Fernando Torres, David Villa has always gone about his business of scoring goalsa'in Spain and for Spain, from the center or as a, with his mind and with his feet. Villa's damaged leg in late 2011 put a finish to his decade-long run of form, and might have cost Barcelona a few trophies last year as well. But despite short playing time and inconsistent form, El Guaje has netted 14 times this season, 2nd simply to the incomparable Lionel Messi at the Camp Nou. And there's plenty of reason to believe his inconsistency this plan is a huge consequence of mismanagement. Finding its way back from the devastating injury is never easy, but signals early in the growing season recommended Villa was healthy and ready to play his most useful basketball again. In his first five group performances, he scored 3 times in mere 110 minutes on the pitcha'a get back also Messi will be happy with. After this impressive start, it was a little strange to see Villa left off the teamsheet for just about any essential match Barcelona enjoyed, and it's no wonder he's failed to develop the sort of confidence and reliability that is been a feature of his career. Sadly, I think Villa's time as a superstar at Barcelona may be in the past, although he's still entirely capable of playing the type of basketball that brought him there in the initial place. If Villa moves on from the Camp Nou come july 1st, he'll yet be a sensation wherever he goes, because he is a truly functional person, one of the strikers of his generation. Of them costing only 31 years old, there is plenty of great basketball left in him. Let us hope Tito Vilanova sees it that way also.
