Russian billionaire owner hopes to lure Napoli striker linked with City, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich to the French gambling mecca instead
Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are also in the chase with Premier League champions City for the Napoli striker, who has a £53.75million buyout clause.
But now French Ligue Two leaders Monaco, who are bankrolled by Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev, are ready to join the auction for one of European football's hottest talents.
She told a Uruguayan radio station: "He told me he wants to go elsewhere and to leave Napoli, but also that one day he'd love to return to Napoli. Edi doesn't know what will happen yet."
Ambitious Rybolovlev has also been linked with City manager Roberto Mancini and Real boss Jose Mourinho in recent weeks.
