Very few clubs have the offer of players it would decide to try acquire Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton. The Texas Rangers are one of many few that probably do and, based on ESPNas Buster Olney, they're attempting to lay the groundwork for a future offer. The 23-year-old Stanton, who has 93 homers through his first 382 big league games, is the main attraction in Miami after Hanley Ramirez, Jose Reyes, Josh Johnson and Mark Buehrle were all dealt in the amount of four months a year ago. After the blockbuster trade in November that sent some of the teamas most useful players packing, Stanton was not a happy camper. At the time, there is speculation that the Marlins would continue to clean house and can trade their only remaining star player. That hasnat occurred, though, and Stanton is simply 5-for-30 with out a homer for the last-place Marlins. Heas also missed the previous couple of days with a shoulder contusion. However, Stanton is easily one of many leading power players in the overall game. Heas effective at hitting 50-plus homers on an excellent bad team in a less pitcher-friendly ballpark. New Marlins boss Mike Redmond identified Stanton's light structure energy right off the bat. The Marlins are a poor group with or without Stanton. The Marlins fanbase won't support this group with or without Stanton. So that begs the question, should they shop him to the highest bidder now while his value is at his highest with almost four years of group get a grip on on his contract? While they have said they are not thinking about dealing him, according to this Peter Gammons tweet, it doesn't mean it's true. Any good general manager is willing to at least listen on any person. They might get a present they could not deny. You merely never know, so saying a player is "untouchable" is not always the smartest thing to do. Otto Greule Jr/Getty Pictures A deal led by Jurickson Profar, Baseball Prospectusa selection for top prospect in football, and third baseman Mike Olt could set the Marlins up on the left side of the infield for another six yearsa'or until they decided to trade often. I wrote about someAProfar deal some ideas recently, with the idea being that mind have significantly more value to another company as their starting shortstop in the place of the Rangersa starting second baseman. Thereas no question a package directed by these two and probably two other top prospects in the lower minors would be alluring. Leads Lewis Brinson, an potential five-tool center fielder, and Ronald Guzman, still another 18-year-old with an extremely advanced level bat from the left side, are decades away but have All-Star potential. Might four of the top nine prospects in one of the top village methods in soccer be enough for Stanton? This type of deal could force the Marlins into the top rate of park systems in football. Theyare currently positioned 11th by Baseball Prospectus, although the arrival of Jose Fernandez and the expected arrival of outfield probability Christian Yelich later in the year might drop them some in the ranks. It wonat matter from the Marlinsa perception simply because they may have some impressivea'and inexpensivea'young skill to put on the area in 2014 with increased prospects on the way in the years to check out. Hereas a look at a potential 2014 Miami Marlins staff without Stanton and with Profar and Olt. But They will not be around made by keeping Stanton a lot better than a fourth-place team. It probably is sensible from an organizational perspective to check towards 2015 and beyond, until they're planning another spending spree, as they have done occasionally in Miami. Does this sound right, but, from the Rangersa perspective? They're currently set at the outfield edges with Nelson Cruz and David Murphy. While Murphy is slumping (8-for-50), he had an impressive.859 OPS in 2012 and should get every opportunity to remain an array regular through the entire period and use of his mentality. If designated hitter Lance Berkman can play first base a few occasions per weeka'he has yet to play a game title therea'manager Ron Washington may potentially find enough at-bats to bypass between Berkman, Cruz, Murphy and Mitch MorelandAwith Stanton in the each and every day lineup. If Leonys Martin continues to struggle at the plate, Murphy could also make some starts in center field. Looking ahead to 2014, the transfer makes much more sense considering Cruz and Murphy will soon be free agents and the Rangers donat appear to have in-house replacements. Stanton will be their beginning right fielder through at the very least 2016. As for how this yearas collection would seem a Rangers 2013 Beginning Choice Bench: David Murphy would make a few starts per week at LF or CF. Thereas no question that the move makes the 2013 Rangers more good. Washington extends to play the hot hand by going Murphy around. He reaches sleep the frequent Berkman, and some time could be got by the injury-prone Cruz whilst the designated hitter. Adding a legit energy risk like Stanton must make the entire choice better. Solution income at the Ballpark in Arlington also needs to increase as lovers travel to hopefully view a Stanton home work. The ball just sounds different coming away from his bat, as you've probably already heard. His batting practice features may be worth the buying price of admission. I'm calling a win-win trade to this. The Marlins' window of argument isn't affected by dropping Stanton and they plug in likely definite All-Stars at shortstop and third base. The Rangers improve in 2013 and complete what would've been a massive hole starting the offseason. So Stanton for Profar, Olt, Brinson and Guzman. Who says no?
