Owners Traditions: The Green JacketEach year, the champion of the Masteras Tournament is given his victory to be commemorated by a Green Jacket. Members of the individual club have now been wearing green jackets to the event since 1937. (Even though initial jackets were deemed too hot to wear.) Members ordered their jackets from the Brooks Uniform Company in Ny. The very first Green Jacket given to a player given to Sam Sneed in 1949. It signified his membershipa'for a the ultra-exclusive Augusta National Club. Masteras champions should reunite the coat to Augusta these year, where when they visit they're saved and made available to the participants. Some previous winners, such as for instance Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer have become genuine members of the membership and presumably are permitted to have permanent possession of their jackets. Since 1954, the membership has granted crystal for different accomplishments, such as reduced round, holes-in-one and eagles. Jack Nicklaus keeps accurate documentation 61 items of Mastersa crystal.
