Yaya Toure believes Friend Alex Ferguson's retirement can swing the balance of power back inside Manchester City's favour.
City mounted bad defence of their Premier League title this season, with United reclaiming the trophy with four activities to spare.
With two games left, United maintain a 10-point advantage finished their cross-town neighbours, but midfielder Toure hope Ferguson's imminent departure can assist Roberto Mancini's side restore the title.
"United is a good club and Ferguson is mostly a big character at this approach club, " said Toure. "He has built everything at United plus the balance I hope will demand City side now.
City defender Pablo Zabaleta said: "We need to take into consideration what's happening at Manchester City now. What's happening conversely of the town doesn't matter to us.
"All I'm able to say about Ferguson is that he was a great administrator. He has been really successful with Manchester Usa and we wish him take care for the future. inch
City take on Wigan inside the FA Cup at Wembley concerning Saturday, with Toure admitting they are desperate to win to replace with their failed title support.
Toure, who recently committed his future on the Eastlands outfit by signing a brand new four-year deal, said: "We let the Premier League trophy go to United but now we should win this one.
"But it will be difficult because we cannot think Wigan will let the trophy go, just due to the situation they are in now inside Premier League.
"For people, this will be fundamental trophy. It's is very important to keep winning trophies and that's why I signed an exciting new contract.
"This is the only trophy left this season for us and we know it's going to be tough this Saturday. Wigan are really a good football team with a fantastic manager.
"It's travelling to be tough but we're determined to attain something for the club and for the fans. For the players it is somewhat important. "
