Steve Clarke claims West Bromwich Albion will not make any rash decisions over players' futures over the last six games.
Steven Reid and Zoltan Gera are both out of contract at the end of this season, although Reid's 12-month option is conditional on his appearing on a set number of games.
Gera has a one-year option in the club's favour, but Clarke insists his current absence, due to a long-term knee injury, will have no bearing on whether he stays or not.
Liam Ridgewell could also be fit for Saturday's visit of Newcastle, although he has been struggling with a groin injury sustained during training.
