Major Upgrade on CM Punk and WWE's Connection

Many lovers have wondered lately: When will CM Punk be returning to WWE? The star was last observed on Raw, sulking about his loss to The Undertaker at WrestleMania. He offered longtime friend and business associate Paul Heyman a tender hug and then stepped from the band however, Bruce Banner type. OK, so Punk hasn't disappeared. If anything, he is been highly visible. He's been at virtually every UFC show lately, and he actually did an extended meeting with MMA writer Ariel Helwani. Clad in a ill-fitting suit, he actually attended the recent premiere for Iron Man 3 with real-life girlfriend Amy "Lita" Dumas (photograph via WrestlingInc.com). Obviously, he is having a great time far from the ring. As for his WWE reunite? Well, that seems to be up in the air. As WrestlingInc.com recently noted, Punk was drawn from all advertised WWE dates to SummerSlam, resulting in speculation that it would be quite a while before the former champion was seen by us on TV again. A depressed Punk has ultimately had enough! Around at PWInsider.com, Mike Johnson has provided an update on the problem, mentioning that the star was never supposed to be at the shows in the very first place and that "his title was included in error." Johnson noted that there was presently "no timetable" for his return, with one resource claiming that Punk would not be back "until late summertime, at the earliest.", so far as Punk coming back goes Apparently, Johnson also went on to claim that the company has had limited experience of the star since he walked out: "We are told there has been hardly any interaction between Punk and the company since the position where he walked out and internally, there's been no discussion about his reunite storyline." Examining the situation, why not a extended hiatus is precisely what Punk needs right now. What can he do if he were to return at this time, anyway? Have his 4,078th match with John Cena? Feud with Triple H again? Attempt to grab the now-forgotten "The Shield works for Heyman and Punk" storyline? After spending almost 18 months all over WWE development and doing relatively everything he can in the business, his creative choices appear quite limited today.
